Rosey,
My husband's brother is a former chef and he told Les to tell me to baste my turkey with mayonaise, a very thick coating. I did that this past Christmas and had THE most gorgeous turkey I'd EVER seen. AND it was wonderfully delicious and moist. It was a rich mahogny brown and almost too pretty to eat. ALMOST.
By the way, I used the real deal in Mayo, not light or LITE but regular may.
Blessings, Virginia in Lubbock, TX

Dear Rosey, I lost the use of my right hand, with the breaking of my ring finger in late oct. That is the busiest time for my cakes and fudge business around the holidays of nov and dec. My husband had to peel the apples and carrots for my famous apple cake and new carrot cake recipe. I made it through with the pt and xrays and the worst part was the cast and waiting .. I have been reading all sorts of books to help myself with my writing.. the two passions of mine[ baking and writing] I will be praying for you..love in the LORD, Carla

I bought my copy of Colorado Christmas in the Wal-Mart in Broomfield, Colorado. I was out visiting my daughter at Thanksgiving. I live in Florida. I really enjoyed your book! It is the first time I have read your writings. I will look for more titles in the future!
